Academic Partnerships
As a reading and math interventionist at a public charter school for more than 10 years, I worked with students in small groups and individually to provide Tier 2 intervention.
Unfortunately not all schools have the human or financial resources to provide intervention to students. Through Academic Partnerships I can help struggling reading and math students during the school day online just like I did when I worked in the school system.
I have a proven process in place to teach non-readers basic skills so they can become confident readers. Additionally, I uncover the mystery of math concepts for students who say they don’t have a “math brain”.
Teachers give so much of themselves every day. Let me make things just a little easier for them by tutoring their students who need additional instruction that they just don’t have the time to do.
After getting some background information, a student can meet with me while at school for 30-45 minutes up to 4 days per week for individualized tutoring.
The Academic Partnership is flexible. Schools and districts can retain my services as an independent contractor. Or teachers can refer me as a preferred tutor to families.

What My Clients Are Saying

At the beginning of third grade, my daughter's teacher told me that Margot was struggling with number sense, making learning new concepts difficult to impossible to learn. Her teacher recommended that Margot be tutored by Rita Santos, so we began weekly sessions immediately. After working with Rita for a few weeks, my daughter's confidence increased significantly, as did her math skills. Rita is good at figuring out the challenging spots for students and then giving them the tools they need to navigate those areas. Margot continues to work with Rita weekly, and we have seen tremendous growth in Margot's math abilities.
