At the beginning of third grade, my daughter's teacher told me that Margot was struggling with number sense, making learning new concepts difficult to impossible to learn. Her teacher recommended that Margot be tutored by Rita Santos, so we began weekly sessions immediately. After working with Rita for a few weeks, my daughter's confidence increased significantly, as did her math skills. Rita is good at figuring out the challenging spots for students and then giving them the tools they need to navigate those areas. Margot continues to work with Rita weekly, and we have seen tremendous growth in Margot's math abilities.

When my son was in 3rd grade he was diagnosed with ADD. He seemed to have trouble reading and comprehending what he was reading. He began to see Ms. Rita once a week. She helped him use strategies to become a more confident reader and help ease his struggles in the classroom and at home. After becoming more confident with his reading we moved on to working on his math skills. We continued to work with Ms. Rita through middle school to help maintain his skills and work on any problems he was struggling with in math or reading. He is now in high school and doing well in all subjects.
Working with Ms. Rita was a great experience for the both of us. She is a naturally gifted teacher who has incredible patience. She puts the child at ease and never makes any one feel like they can't succeed or accomplish their goals. I would recommend Ms. Rita to anyone whose child is struggling and wants their child to feel great about themselves and their schoolwork.

My daughter was really struggling with spelling in 2nd grade when her teacher recommended Rita Santos as a tutor. We found Rita to be personable, kind and flexible but also effective. Less than a year later her teachers couldn't believe the improvement and we "graduated" from her services. Fast forward a couple of years and our son also needed some assistance, for spelling again but also with handwriting, we knew we wanted to work with her again. This second time was just as pleasant and productive as the first. We have since readily referred several families to her, confident in the services she provides and the manner in which she provides them.
